(Insert pillow fight day dream here) We ended up going to Blockbuster, bought us some 5 dolla' jug o' wine because that's how us mid twenties partaaay, and commenced the drunken dvd watching of "The Orphanage" by Juan Antonio Bayona, but presented by Guillermo del Toro. Del Toro is the same guy who did "Pan's Labyrinth." He seems like he sort of has that dark eerieness that Tim Burton has except, at least for me, Tim Burton has a way of making things creepy cute. Anyways, the movie got us screaming pretty good although, the wine did not help us any. Also the fact that we tend to feed off of each other's jumpiness probably didn't help the situation. I found it scary though if that's what ya'll are into. Then again, I'm not the best movie critic, but I just love watching movies and am always looking for new things to watch. Just trying to spread the love. Peace.
geniushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04734854442038240136noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383498687836018.post-58357494472995326382008-10-09T14:30:00.001-07:002008-10-09T14:42:00.726-07:00Diesel Jeans Anniversary<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZm2ZTn_qKXkxLkwt7BFkcqLI3W_75C9VRyVYPbAdMCLaPOiIV64jXTnPQ3r3nOAuOojhNixzxkkgLL1RdCWV50SF248flGpE8Lmrpl7X74JIhHxST_XZUKHeQZtMffQ5Yyv3I8oqbPg/s400/Picture+2.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255271952633524498" />

To celebrate their 30 years, Diesel is having an anniversary sale with $50 limited edition jeans. This wonderful little performance takes you through the dynamic life of Christopher Walken via different actors/tresses versed in Walken intonation. I was able to catch a performance of "All About Walken" last month. Iliza Shlesinger, winner of "Last Comic Standing," opened the show with her true to life critiques of our society. I especially enjoyed when she did a bit on Hawaii and the people sitting closest to my friend and attempted to nonchalantly look at us. (We are NOT Hawaiian). But back to the actual show...it was highlarious. The show consisted of multiple impersonations of Christopher Walken, yet each one wasn't the same. Every cast member had their own Walken style and I have to admit, some seemed more on par than others to me, but every one was great nonetheless. Amy Kelly's impersonation of Robert Dinero blew me out of the water. It was so on point, that she even started to look like him to me. That was probably one of my favorite impressions of the night, if not THE one.

If ya'll want to try and catch the last Los Angeles showing it will be at 8 pm this Thursday, Octber 2nd at Theatre 68.

Those of you in San Francisco can catch it Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 at 7 pm showing at The Clubhouse.

Check out their Myspace for more info: http://www.myspace.com/allaboutwalkengeniushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04734854442038240136noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383498687836018.post-73469190151940456652008-09-29T09:25:00.000-07:002008-09-29T12:14:21.367-07:00Creatures of Comfort Sale
Creatures of Comfort, an awesome store and website, is having their fall shoe sale.
